We made a MAC & CHEESE KEBAB ?? …and yesss, it's exactly as unhinged as it sounds ?? Doner kebab… but make the bread out of mac & cheese. A crispy mac & cheese shell loaded with juicy homemade doner meat, creamy garlic yogurt sauce, fresh veggies, and all the toppings. USA and Turkey just had a baby ????? and new food fusion is officially unlocked.
Homemade Mac & Cheese Doner Kebab Recipe ?
? Instructions
1️⃣ Cook your favorite mac & cheese and let it cool slightly.
2️⃣ Mix in:
✨ 1 egg
✨ 2 tbsp cornstarch
✨ ½ cup shredded cheese
3️⃣ Shape into thick flat rounds (slightly larger than your hand).
4️⃣ Air fry at 190°C (375°F) for 20 minutes, carefully fliping halfway, until golden and firm enough to slice open.
? Homemade Doner Meat Hack
1️⃣ Mix together:
✨ 500 g (1 lb) ground beef
✨ 2 tbsp Greek yogurt
✨ ½ grated onion (squeeze out excess liquid if very wet)
✨ 2 tsp paprika
✨ 1 tsp cumin
✨ 1 tsp garlic powder
✨ 1 tsp onion powder
✨ ½ tsp oregano
✨ Salt & pepper
2️⃣ Spread the mixture thinly between two sheets of parchment paper.
3️⃣ Remove the top sheet, roll up the bottom parchment around the meat, then place onto a baking tray.
4️⃣ Bake at 180°C (355°F) for 15 minutes, carefully drain any excess liquid, then continue baking another 10–15 minutes until cooked through and lightly browned.
5️⃣ Slice into thin strips.
