Roast Bake Recipe
Ingredients
4 cups flour (sifted)
1½ tbsp baking powder
1½ tsp salt
1½ tbsp brown sugar
3 tbsp unsalted butter
10 oz water
Method
Sift flour into a bowl.
Add baking powder, salt and brown sugar.
Cut in the butter.
Add water and knead for 8–10 minutes.
Cover with a damp cloth and rest for at least 2 hours.
Roll dough to approximately 1-inch thickness.
Place onto a greased baking tray, cover and rest for another 30 minutes.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for approximately 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Cheese Paste Recipe
Ingredients
1 lb cheese, grated
3 tbsp pimento
⅛ cup onion, finely grated
¼ cup evaporated milk
2 tsp mustard
½ cup mayonnaise
¼ tsp black pepper
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix until smooth and well combined.
