Charcoal Smashburgers are slept on!! Here are 3 tips to make them! Whenever I fire up the grill for another recipe, I always throw down a few smashburgers over open fire! You get that high heat we need, but no extra setup or anything to worry about! 1. Always use Cast Iron or something similar! You need something that takes on heat and retains it very well! You also want something that lets the beef stick, but releases it easy enough when it’s time to flip! 2. Use the Semi Smash Method! Smash them down hard, but make sure they aren’t paper thin. Aim for 1/4 to 1/3 inch and use 3.5-4oz of beef. You can tamp the edges down to get the lacy crust still, but this helps keep the burger juicy! 3. Always place the cheese down immediately after flipping. We have no lid here so we need to make sure we give it as much time to melt before pulling it off the griddle! Give these a try, and let me know what you think! Charcoal - @jealousdevilcharcoal Griddle - @madein Bacon jam - @mw.fresh Grill - @fyrstarter #burger #smashburger #burgerlover #foodie #recipe
