We just arrived in Bucharest and the food is insane. This city is full of some of the best street food and some very popular Romanian food. To start off our Romanian food tour in Bucharest, we went to a local spot to try the delicious scovergi. Scovergi has a dough that’s similar to a Hungarian langos, or Romanian placinta, fluffy and super tasty, of course we had to go with the savoury option packed with cheese and pork! Next stop we tried ciorbă de burtă, or tripe soup, honestly one of the best we’ve ever had.
We continued our ultimate Romanian food tour in Bucharest by tasting some delicious sweets, the classic amandina and savarină. Afterwards we tasted some local Romanian meatballs called chiftele. For our last stop on our Bucharest food tour tasting some of the best food in Romanian, we went for a traditional Romanian 4-course meal. This was an absolute feast, complete with all the classic Romanian dishes like salată de vinete, sarmale, a huge mixed grill meat platter, papanasi and more! This traditional Romanian 4-course meal feast was so delicious and flavourful, it was the perfect way to end our day.
