In today’s silent vlog, I begin my morning with a peaceful swim in the pool, surrounded by blue water, green trees, and the calm atmosphere of an early summer day.
After my swim, I return home and prepare freshly baked Turkish pastries in the oven for breakfast. There is something so comforting about starting the day with a simple breakfast and something warm and fresh from the oven.
Later, I head out to visit a lovely yarn shop. Surrounded by colorful yarns, beautiful shawls, and charming accessories, I take my time looking around and trying on a few shawls. Sometimes, the smallest moments and simple discoveries can bring so much joy to an ordinary day.
Back home, I prepare dinner: chicken and cheese rolls served with potatoes and a fresh salad. My daughter and I sit down together to enjoy our meal and end this summer day around the table.
For me, slow living is found in moments like these—a peaceful morning swim, the smell of something baking in the oven, discovering beautiful little things, and sharing a homemade meal with someone you love.

Oven-Baked Turkish Cheese Pastries
Ingredients:
400 ml milk
11 g instant yeast
1 tablespoon sugar
1 egg
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon butter
600 g flour (5 cups)
Salt
Cheese for the filling
1 egg yolk + 1 tablespoon milk for brushing
Let the dough rise at room temperature for about 45 minutes.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) until golden brown.
