This is one of the best simple weeknight meals! It’s easy and delicious. It’s packed with flavor, and the leftovers make a great lunch the next day.
Ingredients
1 lb. ground pork
1/2 lb. green beans, washed and cut into 2” pieces
1 small head of cabbage, thinly sliced
1/2 onion, diced
4 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup chicken stock
1 tbsp. thai paste
1 tbsp. green onion paste
1/6 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup hoisin sauce
1 tbsp. mirin
1 tbsp. chili crunch
1 tsp. chinkiang vinegar
1 tsp. red pepper flakes
1 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. white pepper
Salt and pepper, to taste
White rice, for serving (I added some asian flavors to mine)
Sesame seeds
Instructions
1️⃣ Make the sauce. Combine the mirin, soy sauce, mirin, and chinkiang vinegar.
2️⃣ Heat a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chili crunch and ground pork. Break up the pork, then add the diced onion and garlic.
3️⃣ Once the pork is cooked and the onions are sautéed and translucent, remove the sausage from the skillet. Add the green beans and cabbage. Season with salt, pepper, pepper flakes, and white pepper while it’s cooking.
4️⃣ Add the green onion paste, thai paste, and ginger. Continue to cook until the veggies are tender.
5️⃣ Add the pork back into the skillet. Cook for a few minutes, then add the sauce.
6️⃣ Stir together and simmer until the sauce has thickened, about 5 to 10 minutes.
7️⃣ Serve and garnish with sesame seeds.
