Copycat Pizza Hut Hot Dog Stuffed Crust Pizza
Ingredients:
For the Tomato Sauce:
7 oz canned whole tomatoes
1 large clove garlic, minced
¼ tsp dried parsley
¼ tsp dried oregano
¼ tsp dried basil
¼ tsp dried chili flakes
⅛ tsp onion powder
¼ tsp salt, or to taste
¼ tsp black pepper, or to taste
For the Pizza:
1 pizza dough ball
1-2 hot dogs, cut into quarters
¼ cup - ½ cup mozzarella cheese, grated
Directions:
For the Tomato Sauce: In a nonstick pan, combine the canned tomatoes, garlic, parsley, oregano, basil, chili flakes, onion powder, salt, and black pepper and simmer for 6-8 minutes
For the Pizza: Preheat the oven to 400 F
Roll out the pizza dough, then line the hot dogs around the border
Cut slits in the dough on each side of the hot dog pieces, then roll the dough over each piece
Add the tomato sauce to the center and grate mozzarella cheese on top
Bake for 15-25 minutes, until the crust is browned
